A 50-year-old Altamont man is facing multiple charges in Daviess County following a rollover crash that occurred on April 9.
According to online court records, Christopher Allen Erickson has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated as a habitual offender and felony driving while revoked or suspended. He also faces a misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident. Bond has been denied.
A probable cause statement alleges that Erickson was driving on Highway 69 after consuming beer when the crash occurred, resulting in the total loss of the pickup truck he was operating.
Court documents further indicate Erickson was driving on a public highway while his operator’s license was suspended. Authorities report the vehicle struck a light pole during the incident.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol previously reported the pickup traveled off Highway 69, entered a ditch, overturned, struck a light pole, and came to rest on its top. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by emergency medical services to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph.
